Frequently Asked Questions

What about Wet Weather?

It's really important to have a backup indoor/undercover location organised so that your event can still go ahead. If the weather is forecast to rain, get in touch at least 48 hours in advance so we can discuss with you the change of plans. Please note that if the distance to the new location is significantly further than the original location, additional travel fees may incur.  In the event of wet weather you also have the option of rescheduling your picnic to another date but the deposit will not be refunded. Notice must be provided no less than 72 hours in advance and the rescheduled date is subject to availability.

Do you require a Deposit or Bond?

In order to make sure all our items are available for the next person, we do require a bond. If all the items are returned undamaged and clean, the full bond is refunded. Many of our items are vintage, handmade and one of a kind so are tricky to fix or replace. By taking care of our hire items, you're loving the planet & the next person!

Hire of equipment for the specified date will be confirmed once a 20% non refundable deposit has been paid.  Final payment for the event needs to be paid in full at least 3 days in advance of the event date.  Bookings will only go ahead once the final balance has been paid in full.

Do you set up anywhere?

We service the Southern Highlands and delivery is free within a 30 km radius from our base in Bundanoon. This includes most of the highlands from Mittagong to Robertson to Marulan to Canyonleigh.  We work with other businesses on the South Coast, in Sydney & Canberra so further locations can be arranged but will attract a delivery fee.

We set up indoors, outdoors, on private properties & public parks.  Some public spaces require permits to set up picnics so make sure you know the rules & have permission before confirming the booking. For larger bookings with bell tents and furniture, get in touch to discuss where we do & don't set up.


How long is the hire period?

It varies for the size of your event, what you're hiring & can be discussed with you. Generally we're not going to rush you. We know life is busy enough!

We use the best quality bell tents & solar festoon lights so setting up & packing down take longer so parties & events with our tents have a minimum 2 night hire.  Longer hire can be arranged.
